I visited little Rann (desert) of Kutchh(Gujarat,India) recently. Barren landscape presented fascinating vista. Among this barrenness ,I found tiny little shrine with old motorbike resting against it. It made me look around for sign of some human presence ,but none was to be found.

I understand there are shrines link this all over India so the travelers may pause a give offerings for safe travels. Make md wonder.
…makes me wonder…(sic)
You are right. You will see many such shrines on roadside in India. One wonders, who worship here, who looks after it? They all have some story behind them.
I think the faithful take care of them, it is their way of showing respect.. I really love the whole idea of it…
so flat… maybe the bike ran out of fuel…

Imagine stranded here with God for company!!
Great photo! 🙂 India is excellent subject matter, I suppose because many on the internet have not visited… But excellent composition of what I’m sure few who haven’t been to India have never seen. I like the sepia tones a lot too.
Thanks! India is photographer’s delight. And many photographers from world over do visit it. So it is always a challenge to present it in different way.
Wonderful shot of a marvelous place. Such a sense of mystery!
Thanks a lot!
