Lovely job. Has real atmosphere about it.
I would recommend removing the highlights on the far bank if you have the software/knowledge on how to do that – at the moment they tend to take the eye from the main subject.
Thanks. Unfortunately I do no have enough editing knowledge. Somehow I feel, that , background is needed. I do appreciate your suggestion,as it made me re-examine my photo.

Fantastic shot. Don’t listen to Stephen – the highlights on the bank act as a nice counterweight to the darkness of the figures. Take them away if you like, but your photograph will lose its lustre if you do.
I agree with you Richard. I respect Stephen’ view,though I do not agree with it. I think background adds to the subject in its own way.
Having the two fishermen sharp and dark in the otherwise pale, diffuse and near colourless world of this image works well – and you’ve got the two men in just the right place in the image too. Adrian
