I found so much action in this photo……. the cluttered crucible of center and the life that has resulted – crystallized out of that active center………
Thanks. The hand which is sort of suspended over the table,was of a creative person. I realised that he emoted (if there is any such word) with his hands apart from his very expressive face. I wanted to capture it. I believed that all that clutter on the table ,was also telling a story of a time well spent. So I concentrated on these two aspects and put everything else in a background. Many people have found this photo too dark,though I hold onto my views.
I thought the same as grandfathersky: there is an interesting contrast between the really bright table and the diners in shadow. It produces a very interesting feeling.
