Thanks Adrian. I picked up my camera after a gap of few weeks after my exhibition and this was one of the first I clicked. Not my usual style I feel. But I like it too.
I had a very clear about my theme when I was planning exhibition and was concentrating on that theme.After that it has become difficult to decide what next!
Well, don’t think about your usual style >>> think about anything that catches your very receptive eye! A
Yes,I think I should let it take its own course. May be after some time I will come up with some theme,subject or an idea.
Well each person is different and I can only speak for myself ->>> I’m not worried about or thinking about the need to find an idea or theme – as I said to a friend years ago, I simply want to produce beautiful and/or striking images – of whatever subject matter I happen to come upon. A
After my exhibition,many people are asking me what are your plans now,what are you working on now. That really puts pressure and I start thinking about subjects and themes. But frankly it is not fun and it becomes forced clicking.
No no no no no!!!!!! DON’T get into that scenario – just take it easy and let your mind and creativity flow – NEVER force them! Exhibitions are good (I’ve never given one) >>> but they are not the great target in your photography – that target is the production of images that you like and feel satisfied with – and with luck that others like too.
If you never give another exhibition it will not be the end of the world – but if you were never to take another good picture that would indeed be terrible!!!
