I love to photograph textures and was impressed by the texture I saw on walls. suddenly this boy came running from somewhere and posed. Little knowing my area of interest was something else. But later on, when I saw the image, though my focus is on the wall to the right, his presence does add young and live element to the run down and sad looking surroundings.

Really liked the way you narrate the circumstances of the shot. I also like how the blue window echoes to the rather derelict door and how the presence of the boy standing proud mid frame gives life to the scene.
