During my recent desert safari , I visited salt pans. I clicked this photo there. Our old fashioned safari jeeps gave vintage look to vista. Reminded me of some old Black and White war movie.

I even thought I saw Monty pacing back and forth !
What a perfect photo opportunity it would be!
WOW! Impressive one… Thank you dear Sonali, I should have been so nice experience. I can imagine. Love, nia
Thanks Nia! It was a fantastic experience. You know what? I plan to visit it just at the onset of monsoon,as I believe it will be dramatic !!
I agree, the trucks, the black and white, and the barren looking landscape (possibly it looks that way just due to the lack of color) would make me think this was an old photo if I didn’t know better. I think the composition lends itself to that as well, with so much sky and just a bit of ground and activity at the bottom.
Also, it made me think of a movie I saw once when I was a kid, where the people were all getting eaten up by lions. For some reason, I’ve never forgotten that movie 🙂
Thanks Michelle! Landscape was barren and stark! And I found that starkness beautiful.
It does look like that!
Yes!!
Good, desolate shot – best in mono, looks good. Adrian
Thanks Adrian! Have been travelling. Catch up on your blog soon.
Ah yes, I have been to the Little Rann of Kutch, and found it surreal. The barren land and the nothingness till the horizon is quite stark, and yet peaceful.
Great shot in b&w!
Cheers!
Thanks! I agree with you there. It is surreal. I just love that starkness. Something special which touches me.
Amazing!! 😀
Thanks 😀 !!!
Your life experiences fascinate me Sonali. So cool.
Thanks! God has been kind to me. I enjoy small things of life.
absolutely classic feel of the scape, sonali .. indeed, reminds me of those movies. like the huge sky over, making the scape eternal. feel, reducing empty space on the right shall enhance further.
regards.
Thanks for your suggestion. I will definitely try it out.
